Why do we use cookies?
At Icebug we use cookies on our website to optimize the user experience for you as a visitor and to be able to offer access to different types of functions and information, for example, saving products in your shopping cart or studying which parts of our website are more or less popular. They facilitate and improve the use of our website, all to give you the best experience possible. Cookies are also used for marketing purposes. We also share them with third-party providers (see more info about it below).
You as a visitor can always choose whether or not you want to allow our websites to place cookies on your computer. You can also change your choices at any time.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files with letters and numbers that are saved on your computer, mobile or tablet when you visit a website that uses cookies. They can be used to track which pages you visit on the site, save information that you have entered, or remember your preferences, such as language settings. When you accept cookies, you agree to how we use them.
We do not record any information about your IP address, therefore the information about you can never be linked to your identity. According to the Electronic Communications Act (2003:389), anyone who visits a website with cookies must have access to information that the website contains cookies and the purpose and use of cookies. The visitor must also give their consent for cookies to be used. You can change the settings for managing cookies at any time.
A cookie is a small text file that the website you visit requests to save on your computer
On Icebug.com there are both first-party and third-party cookies for different purposes. Cookies on this website are used to improve the user experience and to optimize the website. There are two types of cookies:
- One type, called a permanent cookie, saves a file that remains on the visitor's computer. For example, it is used to be able to customize a website according to the visitor's wishes, choices and interests, as well as for statistical follow-up. A permanent cookie remains in place for up to two years for the website to recognize you if you visit the website several times.
- The second type is called session cookie. While a visitor is on a web page, it is temporarily stored in the visitor's computer's memory. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser.
Our website uses both session cookies and permanent cookies.
We also use third-party cookies
On the website we also use so-called third-party cookies. We do this by using the Google Remarketing service, to control remarketing ads in the Google Display Network (GDN) based on data from Google Analytics, or to identify the gender and age of our visitors.
This is done in such a way that the statistics tool Google Analytics places a cookie on your computer. The cookie then collects information about how our website is browsed. That information is valuable to us because we can then track what is popular and what we can do to improve our website. This cookie also does not contain any information about who you are. We cannot identify you or your computer, tablet or mobile. To learn more about how this works, see Google's Privacy Policy, which describes in more detail how your information is used by them: www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
What is meant by consent to cookies?
In order for us to use cookies, we need your consent. We receive your consent when you accept our usage of cookies in the cookie banner that appears when you visit our website. Some cookies are required for you to use our website (necessary cookies) and you cannot therefore opt out.
What happens if you don't accept cookies?
In order for us to be able to view the content on our website and for you to be able to use it in the intended way, we will continue to use so-called necessary cookies that are stored on your computer, tablet or mobile. These are saved as long as you are on the website or for a limited time thereafter.
How do you delete cookies in your browser?
You can always choose to delete cookies via the settings in your browser, for example if you have accepted cookies and then changed your mind. If you have chosen to delete cookies, our cookie banner will be displayed to you again when you visit our website, you can then make a new choice. The necessary cookies will continue to be used as they are necessary for you to visit the website.
Here you can find more information about how you can delete cookies in different browsers:
