Women's Winter Boots
Women's Winter Boots
At Icebug you will find comfortable, warm winter boots for women. We make studded shoes for winter running, as well as hiking boots, outdoor shoes, and everyday shoes developed to prevent you from slipping or freezing during the winter. Designed in Jonsered, Sweden, our shoes are made to last a long time and leave minimal climate impact. At Icebug, we are experts in shoes with grip. With Icebug shoes on your feet, you don’t have to worry about slipping. You get the very best grip possible with the dynamic steel studs in our shoes with a BUGrip sole.
Should I have studded or non-studded winter shoes?
Whether you should have winter shoes with steel studs or un-studded winter shoes with a rubber sole depends primarily on how you intend to use the shoes. We recommend that you consider the environment you’ll be wearing them in. If you live in a place where there is seldom snow and ice, un-studded is often good enough. However, if you spend a lot of time outdoors when it is slippery, then you should have studded shoes. All Icebug shoes with BUGrip in the name have dynamic steel studs, which give you a foothold on ice while they spring into the sole when you go for increased comfort. If you prefer a rubber sole, you can either choose shoes with a Michelin sole or shoes with BioSole, our own rubber compound. Our Michelin soles have the same pattern and rubber compound as Michelin's un-studded winter tires. The BioSole soles are mostly made of natural rubber that stays soft even at low temperatures, which means that they retain grip and comfort even when it is cold outside. Regardless of which one you choose you’ll get a shoe that provides a solid grip in cold conditions.
What size should I wear in my women's winter boots?
We have made it easy for you to find the right size of your winter shoes. Search for the model you are interested in and click on the Size Guide button. Measure your foot and search the Women's table for the corresponding size that suits you. Should the shoe still not fit well on your foot, our customer service provides speedy assistance to change to the right size.
Sustainably produced winter boots
Icebug is protecting the planet and driving the entire shoe industry to become more sustainable. When we develop our winter shoes, we try to use bio-based or recycled materials as much as possible. For example, we use recycled PET bottles, recycled wool residues, recycled fishing nets, and algae from eutrophied lakes. But no product is completely devoid of carbon emissions. For the emissions we still cause in the climate, we compensate our carbon footprint by 200%.
