Loe Biosole

Less oil, more natural raw material

Loe Biosole is a stylish leather sneaker made in an innovative way.

It's a great feeling to find a pair of nice everyday shoes to walk straight into spring with - especially if you know you can do it with a clear conscience. Icebug’s Loe Biosole is made with, among other things, fishing nets, recycled algae restoring ecosystems and cleaning water and air, and recycled polyethylene. The leather ages beautifully, so Loe can accompany you for many years to come!

Reducing our oil dependence

To reduce our dependence on oil and lower our climate footprint, Loe has an outsole made of 62% natural rubber. This is better for the planet but still features the same grip you expect from an Icebug shoe.

Leather – a good material if it is produced in the right way

Anyone who has had a leather shoe knows that it is a durable material that lasts a long time if you take care of it. To be sure that the leather we use meets our high sustainability requirements, we use Nubuck, which has received the Leather Working Group's gold label.

A smarter way to color shoes

The leather that makes up Loe’s upper has been produced by DriTan, which means that the leather has been dyed in a way that saves both water and chemicals compared to conventional dyeing.
