1% for the Planet

On January 1st, 2020, Icebug became a member of 1% for the Planet. This means that we commit to donating 1% of our total sales, regardless of whether we’re making a profit, to non-profit environmental organizations and projects that do good.

Icebug was the first outdoor shoe company to join 1% for the Planet. We will steer our involvement in 1% for the Planet towards climate change mitigation- organizations that work towards decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and keeping regenerative ecosystems intact. The latter will also have a positive effect on biodiversity.

We support several organizations through 1% for the Planet, including Naturarvet, Protect our Winters, Hej Främling, and Naturskyddsföreningen.

We use our business to do good

At Icebug, we’re committed to making better shoes that help you get out every day – no matter the conditions. Also, we have decided to change our industry by taking responsibility for our footprint. Our goal is to make footwear with great durability, low CO2 emissions and respect for people and planet. Part of the money that you invest in us, we give back to the planet by donating to organizations that, for instance, work to preserve old-growth forests.
