Since 2001, Icebug has been developing running shoes specifically for winter conditions. That journey has given us a unique understanding of what a great winter running shoe needs to deliver — safety, enjoyment, and efficiency when temperatures drop and surfaces get slippery.

Running style, drop and cushioning
Everyone has a unique running style, and there is no universal truth about how you should run. Recommendations vary depending on who you ask. Choosing shoes based on your natural gait can help reduce injury risks and unnecessary strain.
If you land on your heel, choose shoes with more cushioning and a higher drop to support a smooth roll. If you land on your midfoot or forefoot, a lower drop may feel more natural, and you can select the cushioning level based on personal preference.
Drop
Low-drop shoes require a forward-driven technique with mid/forefoot landing. This loads calves and Achilles more. Experienced runners seeking higher pace may prefer lower drop. Beginners and recreational runners generally benefit from a mid-drop (4–10 mm), which provides a smoother roll and puts less strain on the body.
Low drop: 0–4 mm

Myr’s responsive, generously cushioned midsole offers the energy return needed for long-distance comfort, while the 8 mm drop suits runners who typically land on their heel. A laminated mudguard protects the forefoot, and the roomy toe box allows free movement — ideal in cold conditions. The upper is made from durable double jacquard with 42% recycled polyester, making the shoe both airy and light.

Pytho6 BUGrip®
For those who want an efficient all-around running shoe for forest terrain, with high torsional rigidity, medium drop, and medium cushioning for excellent ground control.
We equipped Pytho6 BUGrip® with 16 dynamic carbide steel studs and high torsional rigidity. The studs deliver maximum grip on everything from pure ice to slippery roots, while the stiff sole supports good technique by preventing unnatural twisting. The roomy toe box supports natural toe splay and warmth, while the water-resistant upper protects against moisture.
