Not many people can make their way through the forest with the same speed and finesse as Tove Alexandersson. But the orienteer from Borlänge also has a big pile of World Cup gold, European Championship gold and World Cup victories. When she entered the World Cup in skyrunning in 2018, she won gold, with almost eight minutes down to the nearest competitor. And in early 2020, Tove won two big Swedish awards, when the people of Sweden voted her as the winner of both Jerringpriset and Bragdguldet.
Tove Alexandersson is an official Icebug ambassador. As a part of the collaboration, Tove is involved in developing Icebug's best-selling off-trail model Spirit.
– I have always liked Spirit, and that is why I became very pleased when I got to participate and develop it exactly as I want it. The shoes are my most important equipment when competing, and therefore, I am incredibly picky.
The latest edition of Spirit is called Spirit8 OLX, and it is a shoe that is characterized by lightweight, high durability and outstanding traction.
– What I like about Spirit is that it has the best grip you can find. It is also durable but at the same time, comfortable and flexible. The feet are the most sensitive part of the body for an orienteer, so the shoes have to take care of them in the best way possible. I am incredibly pleased with the result and the way Spirit turned out. This is the shoe I do my races in, and now it is perfect for me.
We at Icebug are serious about our climate work. We follow the UN's Climate Neutral Now initiative, measure the entire company's greenhouse gas emissions, and constantly change materials and processes to get a lower climate footprint. Our shoes will have a climate footprint lower than 6.4 kilos of CO2 per pair by 2030. Along the way, we share our materials and suppliers through our initiative for transparency, Follow the Footprints.
