It’s a beautiful feeling strolling under the spring sun in a pair of new, comfortable sneakers - especially with a clear conscience. The DriTan® Nubuck leather on Loe ages beautifully, and the shoe can stay with you for many years!
Loe Biosole is made with, among other things, abandoned fishing nets, algae harvested lakes whose algae population is hazardously high and recycled polyethene.
To reduce our oil dependence and climate footprint, Loe has been given a sole in 62% natural rubber. Better for the world - but with the same traction as you would expect from an Icebug shoe.
Everyone who has owned a leather shoe knows that it is a durable material that will last for years if you take care of it. To be sure that the leather we use meets our high sustainability requirements, we use Nubuck which has received the Leather Working Group's gold label. Read more about our leather here.
Loe is also marked with DriTan, which means that the leather is dyed in a way that saves both water and chemicals compared to conventional dyeing.
We at Icebug are serious about our climate work. We follow the UN's Climate Neutral Now initiative, measure the entire company's greenhouse gas emissions, and constantly change materials and processes to get a lower climate footprint. Our shoes will have a climate footprint lower than 6.4 kilos of CO2 per pair by 2030. Along the way, we share our materials and suppliers through our initiative for transparency, Follow the Footprints.
