Welcome to the premiere edition of the Frozen Lake Marathon. Be the lucky winner and come to Norway and run the marathon or half marathon on pure ice – all expenses paid, and with with the world’s best traction under your feet we guarantee that slipping will not be an issue.
This first edition of World Championship™ is taking place March 16, 2019, and is located 819 meters above sea level in the municipalities of Gol and Hemsedal, Norway.
The marathon takes place at a frozen lake, where vehicles usually test their capacity on ice. Only this time it’s you who will test your capacity.
Do you want to win a spot and get a chance to be the first World Champion?

Frozen Lake Marathon
Date: March 16, 2019
Location: Tisleifjorden, Gol, Norway. About 2 hours from Gardemoen (Oslo Airport) and about 6 h from Gothenburg.
Distance: 21,1 km or 42,2 km. The course is 21,1 km so marathon runners will do two laps.
Maximum number of participants: 500
