Eli RB9X is Icebug's most popular sneaker, made for active summer days and loved for its airy upper and maximum comfort.
Many describe Eli as the most beautiful shoe they have had, but that doesn’t mean that it compromises on performance. Eli has an upper made of 100% recycled polyester, algae in the midsole for cushioning, and an outsole made of the same rubber as our running shoes, which guarantees good grip on rocks, boats, and jetties.

MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIAL
We at Icebug make shoes with the least possible climate impact. With Eli, we have taken our work to a new level. The upper portion of the shoe is mesh that is made of 100% recycled PET bottles. In the outsole, we have mixed in 15% recycled rubber. In the midsole you will find BLOOM® foam, which is a material made from algae harvested from lakes whose algae populations have reached hazardous levels. By using algae instead of oil, we reduce our climate footprint while purifying water. Win-win!
THROW THEM - IN THE WASHING MACHINE!
Icebug makes shoes that should be used often and for a long time. Eli, you can run it in the washing machine without any problems and thus keep them nice for longer!
This is how you do it:
✔️ Put the shoes in with some towels protecting the machine's drum.
✔️ Run at 30 degrees with your usual detergent.
✔️ Remove the insole and let it dry. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures.
✔️ Done!
SHOES SHOULD NOT FLY ⛴
Icebug hasn't flown home a single pair of shoes from the factory this spring, either. We haven't done it in five years - and don't intend to in the future. If we chose air transport, we would double each couple's CO2 emissions.

We at Icebug are serious about our climate work. We follow the UN's Climate Neutral Now initiative, measure the entire company's greenhouse gas emissions, and constantly change materials and processes to get a lower climate footprint. Our shoes will have a climate footprint lower than 6.4 kilos of CO2 per pair by 2030.
