Dala Biosole – Winter's big news from Icebug!
Cuddly shoes for when the weather gets cold. The new Dala Biosole has a fluffy recycled wool lining that keeps your feet warm and cozy. Dala slips on and off easily, without zippers or ties. The result is a boot with a classic look and a super-soft interior. Dala gives you great traction with Icebug’s non-studded technology, Biosole. This outsole is mostly made of natural rubber, meaning it provides exceptional grip even in low temperatures.
Timeless look, natural materials.
The new Dala Biosole has a classic look but is far ahead of the times in terms of material selection. The upper is made from LWG-labeled suede, and the insole is made with recycled wool sent to us from Woolpower in Sweden. The midsole is made of Bloom foam, a type of foam produced from algae that has been harvested from lakes.

An outsole made with natural rubber.
In the Biosole™ outsole, natural rubber replaces synthetic rubber and thus reduces our dependence on oil. Natural rubber has about half the climate impact of synthetic rubber. 90% of the components that make up Biosole™ are not oil-based, and 62% are natural rubber. The rubber compound provides a good grip year-round. It remains soft and flexible, even when the temperature drops slightly below zero.

We at Icebug are serious about our climate work. We follow the UN's Climate Neutral Now initiative, measure the entire company's greenhouse gas emissions, and constantly change our materials and processes to get a lower climate footprint. Our shoes must have a climate footprint of no more than 6.4 kilograms of CO2 on average by 2030.
