Adak is a true autumn and winter highlight from Icebug. Here you have a boot that is made for adventure! Adak is waterproof and can withstand cold temperatures. This adventure boot is available both with and without studs. In terms of sustainability, this is a big step forward for the shoe industry. Adak is a boot you can wear with a clear conscience.
Adak is built to last. Classic Swedish design, reliable performance without frills. The upper part of Adak features repurposed wool from Swedish Woolpower to keep you warm. Combined that sustainable warmth with the most durable Nubuck leather available, and you’ve got a boot that’s ready to tackle even your coldest winter hikes. With a timeless look and materials that are strong enough to stand up to your adventures, Adak is ready to be your adventure companion for years to come.
For a grip that is beyond compare, turn to Icebug’s BUGrip. Seventeen carbide steel-tipped studs ensure stability in icy and slippery conditions. These studs are dynamic, meaning they respond to the pressure of your foot and the surface you are walking on to ensure maximum grip, while also providing comfort. Tackle adventurous winter terrain without fear!
Icebug’s Michelin sole is designed to keep you stable and upright, even on slippery, uneven footing. With a tread pattern inspired by Michelin winter tires, Adak’s non-studded sole provides excellent traction. It was a great choice for those doing more urban exploring, or who are concerned about protecting delicate flooring.
🌲 How about this: Algae harvested from lakes with dangerously high algae populations, gold rated leather, upcycled wool from Woolpower, recycled fishing nets pulled from the oceans- called ghost nets, and recycled rubber. They all come together to make a boot that works just as hard for the planet as it does for you.
We at Icebug are serious about our climate work. We follow the UN's Climate Neutral Now initiative, measure the entire company's greenhouse gas emissions, and constantly change materials and processes to get a lower climate footprint. Our shoes will have a climate footprint lower than 6.4 kilos of CO2 per pair by 2030. Along the way, we share our materials and suppliers through our initiative for transparency, Follow the Footprints.
